It's interesting what all can happen in two and a half days.
It started Friday afternoon. Everyone else at school was going to the dance that night so mom let me decide how we would spend the evening. We went to Bob Evens then to the mall and had a very enjoyable time. That was the pleasant part of my evening. The rest of Friday night belongs in a novel. Why is my life like that? So anyways what it was, was a complicated situation involving someone I liked when I was little but had informed two years ago I didn't ever want to be anything more than friends. This person called on Friday night and proceeded to tell me that he had been waiting for me to get old enough to date, and was hurt that I liked someone else at camp. I had to tell him that we wouldn't be dating but could still be friends. This is the very watered-down-for-the-sake-of onlinepublicishness version of the story, but you can probably tell how dramatic and novelish it was at the time. After that I talked to Luke until late in the night and felt better about the drama.
Saturday: less dramatic but eventful.I had success in thoroughly cleaning my room, then Holly came over. We had fun talking about multiple things and rode bikes while it was getting dark and had said things such as,
"do you have a kitten to play with?"
"Let me just check my pocket..."
And Sunday (today) was entertaining and pleasant. It's great how church can be so good in a worship sense, but still be entertaining thanks to some of the guys. The pastor's mother in law was visiting so my dad (sundayschool superintendent) opened with a little mother in law joke. After Sunday school, the pastor went deeply into mother-in-law comments. Whilst he buried himself the funny thing was to watch my dad who sat in his seat and obviously shook his head, trying to signal the dear pastor. When the pastor finished by telling how he was just joking and loves his mother in law, dad nodded exaggeratedly at him. Then the song leader said "who can I get to sing this part?" (hands go up "Cool! oops you are Not supposed to say cool from the platform!" 'Twas very entertaining. The rest of the service was amazing.
So there we have my weekend as I head into the month of May which will involve traveling to Chicago, and Indiana, not to mention intense Sunday school volleyball and the end of 08-09 school!
