Why can't things just be boring?

The water outside where it belongs!

Well nobody at my house has got very much sleep in the last few days. It all started when we had we had a huge storm on Wednesday. We got so much rain that our yard turned into an aquarium! This would have been fine if the water would have stayed OUTside. But this was not the case as you may have guessed. When we went downstairs we saw at least five inches of water. But this wasn't very much of a problem because after the last flood mom stacked everything in totes. My Grandpa Mick and uncle Matt replaced the water pump and hoped it could catch up with the water inside and out. At three in the morning my mom went down and discovered 13 inches of water and almost every tote had tipped over and came open. This made for an interesting day because a lot of people came to help. Grandpa Mick, Grandma Joan, Uncle Will, Aunt Jen, Aunt Trina, Neighbor Mark, and cosins Hannah and Katia ( pronounced Kotty) And our house isn't very big so it was pretty crowded.I spent the day keeping the kids entertained. Amazingly the basement floor is pretty dry now and my dad bought a 300$ water pump so hopefully we won't have that kind of excitement again for awhile!
